Winning

In our culture winning is everything. In sports, politics, business, etc., winning seems to be the only thing that matters. It is no wonder why there is a lack of trust, a lack of respect and caring, let alone "common" decency in society today. I want to reframe winning in my life. What winning means to me is putting some at ease, brightening someone's day who needs it, or just handling a difficult situation calmly (something I struggle with). Winning to me is being able to go to bed at the end of the day knowing I did my best, or tried to do my best to get my loved ones into a life of God's grace. At the end of my life, winning to me will be being accepted into eternal grace that God through the life, death, and resurrection of His only begotten Son Jesus promises for the faithful.
